	1/26/2010 Mark Hersam has been named the 2010 MRS Outstanding Young Investigator “for pioneering research on the physics, chemistry, and engineering of nanoelectronic materials and devices, including solution-phase techniques for sorting carbon nanotubes and graphene, and for organic functionalization and nanopatterning of semiconductor surfaces."
	1/25/2010 Jiaxing Huang has been awarded an NSF CAREER grant for "Interfacial Assembly of Soft Layered Materials." Co-funded by the Solid State and Materials Chemistry (SSMC)/Division of Materials Research (DMR) and Chemical Measurement and Imaging (CMI) / Chemistry (CHE) programs, Huang's research group will explore the characteristics and assembly of soft layered materials such as graphene oxide.
	1/25/2010 Monica Olvera de la Cruz has been selected as one of 11 distinguished university faculty scientists and engineers forming the 2010 class of the Department of Defense National Security Science and Engineering Faculty Fellowship (NSSEFF) program. Olvera de la Cruz will study "Emergence of shape & patterns in biomolecular assemblies in ionic solutions." more
	1/25/2010 MSE Senior Kelsey Stoerzinger has been awarded a Churchill Scholarship to pursue graduate study in Physics at the University of Cambridge. A member of the Odom research group, she is the 7th Churchill Scholar from Northwestern. more
